I began thinking outside the box at the age of eight. I continued to color outside the lines while living in the United States and beyond. My creativity flourished as I authored eight how-to creative living books during the 1960s and 70s, and became known as CreativeWise guy Dusty Pilot through my syndicated television series and newspaper columns.
My life was anything but boring. It has led to my becoming an entrepreneur, world traveler, editor of a weekly magazine for Ohio's largest evening newspaper, and designer of my own line of men's clothing.
I sold my business and retired to Costa Rica in 1987, lived there happily for 11 years, until I lost my entire life saving overnigh. Eventually I sold my houses and properties and returned to the States.
I am now writing short narratives about some of my very unusual life experiences, along with my memoir entitled " My extraordinary life, living outside the box" due to be puplished in 2017.
I still enjoy public speaking, traveling to exotic places, creative gardening (building vertical gardens for small spaces and privacy), devising new, original recipes (especially for hors d'oeuvres), and pampering pooches, Sadie and Scooter.
